IWF Idaho on the International Space Station

The International Women’s Forum is an invitation only organization of more than 7,000 diverse and accomplished women from 33 nations on six continents. IWF’s mission is to support the women leaders of today and tomorrow. We build better leadership across careers, continents and cultures by connecting accomplished women both locally and globally.  In the United States, forty-one states have local forums.

The Idaho IWF Forum was formed in 2013 by a group of Wood River Valley residents who were members of the Washington D.C., New York, and California IWF Forums.  They recruited 23 women leaders such as elected officials, executives in Idaho non-profits, academia, athletics and businesses because they believed that outstanding women leaders in Idaho would also benefit from the exchange of ideas, learning opportunities and inspiration from coming together in Idaho, as well as nationally and globally.  The idea resonated, and, in 2020, we number sixty-six (66) members.

Check out our recent virtual event “IWF Idaho on the International Space Station,” to hear from IWF Idaho Members and former astronauts Barbara Morgan and Ellen Ochoa. The program was educational and inspirational!

One of the many benefits of the Idaho IWF forum is that it provides members a network of exceptional women across disciplines in Idaho. Technology allows us to engage across our great state and be inspired by each other’s powerful insights and experiences.

It is my hope that we use our network and expertise to provide information and understanding to our members regarding critical issues in Idaho and connect people to resources vital to their success.

Welcome to our IWF Idaho website.

– President, Janet L. Gallimore
