Peggy Goldwyn
Peggy Elliot Goldwyn wrote television comedies for many years, including “That Girl” and “Happy Days”, as well as television movies and motion pictures. One of her many scripts for “The Odd Couple” was named one of the top 100 situation comedy scripts by The Writers’ Guild of America. She was Vice President of the Samuel Goldwyn Company, a film company, from 1986 to 2003. As a volunteer, she has made documentaries for UNHCR and Planned Parenthood. Her first novel, A Small Part of History”, about women on the Oregon Trail in 1846, was published in 2008.
She has been a Board Member of Friends of UNFPA (The United Nations agency for reproductive health and the rights of women) since 2006, and founded The Family of Woman Film Festival in Sun Valley, Idaho in 2008 to support their work. and advocate for women’s equality. She is also a Commissioner of the Women’s Refugee Commission, and serves on the Advisory Boards of Sustainable Health Enterprises and The Children’s Radio Network, both operating in Africa. She serves on the Board of the Andrus Center for Public Policy at Boise State University and received their National Women Who Make a Difference award in 2015.
